Materials I am using

Open Stencil of any shape (example Punched Circles or any shape cut on your cutting machine)
Distress Ink and tool
White Craft Ink
Stamps (background and image)
Black Archival Ink
Painters tape for stability
White Gel pen

Pool Room Slaw

Okay here is the recipe for the slaw, there are not really exact measurements but what I have is just a idea and you can taste and judge about what you like.

Pool Room Slaw

1 head cabbage
4 to 8 oz mustard
1/2 cup Red Wine Vineger
2 cups sugar
1-2 tsp salt (adjust to your need)
2-3 Green Onions - optional and to your desire
1 Green Pepper optional

Using a blender forst chop up the cabbage, then add remaining veggies and blend well but only to a medium course or a relish type chop, do not puree. Add  sugar and vineger, the add mustard in spurts to your desired taste. Store in a closed container in the fridge, the longer it sets the better the it tastes will be great for the 4th of July or a Picnic. Add to your hot dogs, hamburgers or BBQ sandwhiches!! Yummo!!!

Time for Tea and Tea for 2

Here is a window shadow I made. I used a light weight chipboard to put this together. I would recommend a heavy weight cardstock though as it was tougher to work with. After putting it together I used a pallette knife and put molding pasted on just the window part and not the shutters. While it dried I painted the shutters a tan color then after it dried quickly and then I used crackle paint from ranger and swiped paint heavy and light in areas and allowed to dry. After the molding paste dried I watered down expresso dabber paint and brushed the paint on then took a paper towel and wiped it off to give the different tones and make it look like wood. After it all dried I glued the shutters to the sides and embellished with roses made from coffee filters, Clay bird, butterflies and the top embellishment. For the twig I added white flowers to it and then added scattered straw. You can get just the window pattern at http://www.thealteredmusestudio.com/p/template-store.html for $3.99.

*Tip When making this it is advised to use graphite paper to transfer the cut lines for the shutters.

Hat Boxes

These are some mini Hat boxes I made using the pattern from Patrice Carrow. I used chipboard for the base bottom and top and the sides are made from Light weight Chipboard. I used molding paste to cover up the chipboard and painted it. Added pearls around the base and lid. Added some premade flowers, the leaves are from the Martha Stewart punch and so are the butterflies and punched from coffee filters and colored with distress markers. Here is a link if you would like to purchase the pattern ,http://www.thealteredmusestudio.com/#!templates The possibilities are endless.
